Slow Cooked Oatmeal

Ingredients

    1/2 cup large flake oatmeal
    2 cups lowfat vanilla soy milk
    1/4 tsp cinnamon, or to taste
    1/4 cup raisins or other dried fruit

Directions

Add all ingredients to a small crockpot and stir to combine. Turn crockpot on WARM (not low) before you go to bed. Oatmeal will be ready to eat when you get up in the morning. Serve with fresh fruit like raspberries, blueberries, etc.

If your crockpot does not have a warm setting, use a timer on the outlet so it doesn't cook too long. It needs about 6 hours on low.

Note: This recipe can also be made with almond milk, which is lower in calories than soy milk and higher in calcium.
