Ingredients

1¼ cups dates, quartered
1 large orange
1 apple, peeled, cored and quartered
½ cup honey
sweet red wine, approx. 5 oz
cinnamon and ground cloves to taste
½ cup almonds , finely chopped
handful of dried cranberries
Directions
Peel the orange and cut it into pieces. Remove all seeds. Combine the orange, dates, and apple in a food processor and process until it is a paste.
Put the paste and honey in a glass bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir. Microwave at 40% power for 15 minutes. Stir. Microwave for another 150 minutes at 40%. Stir in cloves, cinnamon and wine. Microwave for another 10 minutes at 40%. Stir in the nuts and cranberries. Let cool.
