Savory Cream Sauce

Introduction

This is a reduced fat/sodium recipe. It goes with seafood chimichangas. This is a reduced fat/sodium recipe. It goes with seafood chimichangas.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1/8 cup of olive oil margarine
    1/8 cup whole wheat flour
    1 coup of warmed fat free half and half
    1/2 teaspoon of seafood base
    3 tbsp of chopped cilantro leaves
    Mrs. Dash's original seasonings to taste

Directions

Melt margarine in saucepan over medium heat; stir in flour and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 to 3 minutes or until bubbly and golden in color. Slowly stir in the half and half, bring to a boil and cook until sauce thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the base and chopped cilantro. Cover, set aside and keep warm. Makes 1 cup.

Serving Size: sauce for 4 Chimicangas
