Angelfood Surprise

Submitted by: QUEENCHRISTY

Introduction

A delicious light dessert with a hidden surprise A delicious light dessert with a hidden surprise
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

One angelfood cake (purchased ready-made or baked from a mix)
1 pint fresh blueberries, washed and drained
    4 cups Cool Whip Light
    Splenda 12 teaspoons (4 tablespoons)

Directions

Purchase an angelfood cake or bake one from a cake mix (I purchase one ready-made). Using a serrated knife, cut the top 1/3 off the cake, keeping it all in one piece (this is your "lid"). Set aside. Using a smaller knife, cut a 1-2 inch "trench" in the 2/3-remaing cake. Sprinkle the Splenda over the blueberries and stir to sweeten them evenly. Fill the trench in the angelfood cake with the Splenda-sweetened blueberries, then put the "lid" of the cake back in place. Using a spreader or spatula, frost the cake with the 4 cups of Cool Whip Light. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Slice and serve--serves 12.
