My Mama's Salsa

Submitted by: BEAKIEBEAN

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

1 bunch of cilantro, split in thirds
2 jalapenos, or 4 serrano peppers
    10-12 cloves of fresh garlic
2 14.5 oz cans of petite diced tomatoes
1 14.5 oz can of tomato sauce
Salt (kosher or table, doesn't matter)
    Freshly ground black pepper

Directions

To make salsa, first gather all ingredients as well as a food processor or blender. Itís easiest to use the ready-peeled garlic cloves, but fresh is fine too. Wash 1/3 of cilantro bunch, then pat dry. Place in food processor. Wash and de-rib and de-seed jalapeno or Serrano peppers, and add to processor. Add 10-12 garlic cloves, to taste. Run processor for 5-10 seconds, until all ingredients are well chopped. Add 2 cans of plain diced tomatoes, and 1 can of tomato sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. Run the processor for another 5 seconds, until everything appears well combined.

Serving Size: Makes about 10 (1/2) cup servings
