Ingredients

1(0.377kg) package of stew beef, cubed or bite-sized
1 onion, chopped
1 cup of baby carrots sliced in thirds
1 cup turnip cubed
2 celery stalks, chopped
5 large potatoes, cubed
Salt and pepper to serve
1 can beef stock/broth
2 cans water
* 4 tbsp cornstarch and water to thicken if desired adds 120 calories.(flour can also be used white flour 4tbsp is 114 cals).
Directions
Basically chop and throw in...meat in bite-sized pieces, peel potatoes and cube, peel turnip and cube.clean and chopped celery, chop baby carrots(I find thirds best) and chop onion.
Place in slow cooker or roasting pan.Add 1 can beef stock/broth and 2-3 cans water(enough to cover everything).
Place in oven at 350 F for 2 hours to 2 n 1/2 hrs.
Or place ingredients in slow cooker for all day(8-10 hrs on low or 6 hrs on high).
Can serve with breads, buns or biscuits.Can thicken broth with cornstarch.
Serving Size: Makes 6-8 serving, 6 good sized ones...
