A dutch baby is a breakfast dish similar to Yorkshire pudding. It is baked in a metal pan and falls soon after being removed from the oven. Ingredients

    3 eggs
    1/2 cup milk
    1/2 cup flour
    2 tbsp butter
    salt & pepper
    pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 425 F.

2. Whisk the eggs in a medium bowl until combined. Stir in the milk. Gradually mix in flour. Add nutmeg and season with salt and pepper. Mix in the ingredients youíre using.

3. Melt butter in pie pan or oven proof skillet so that inside is completely coated with butter. Pour all the batter in the pan and donít mix. Return to oven.

4. Bake until puffed and lightly browned, about 20 minutes.

Here's a spin- I like to make mine with tomatoes, spinach, ham, cheese, for a savory dutch baby! Easier than an omelete and more fun!
