Darci's Mushrom Pea Curry

Ingredients

1 cup boiled green peas
200 g fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1 cup fresh curds (I substituted Non-fat milk powder, or make my own Curd with skim milk)
4 tablespoons oil
salt
4 garlic cloves
1/2 inch piece gingerroot (12 mm)
2 tablespoons poppy seeds omitted
2 teaspoons cashews Omitted

Directions
1 1. Heat the oil in a tava and fry the onion until golden. 2 2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and tomato and cook until soft. 3 3. Add the garam masala, cashewnut and poppy seed paste and salt, sprinkle a little water and cook until the fat leaves the sides. 4 4. Add the peas, mushrooms and curds and cook for another 3 minutes. 5 5. Serve hot. ?
It might be helpful to includ in the instructions that the salt is used to help with the crushing of the garlic and ginger to form the paste. Not everyone is expirienced in the kitchen and curries are rather special. Despite the above this is a good dish to serve along side a meat main dish
