Cinnamon Oatmeal Waffles

Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1-1/2 cups unbleached flour
    1 cup quick oatmeal (not instant)
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1-1/2 cups 2% milk
    1/3 cup Canola oil
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    2 tablespoons packed brown sugar


Directions

In a large bowl combine flour, oatmeal, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowl mix together the milk, oil, eggs, and brown sugar. Stir the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients in the large bowl until just mixed. Bake on a medium-hot waffle iron that has been greased with shortening or non-stick spray. (Bake until done according to your waffle iron's directions.)

Makes 6 servings, 2 waffle squares each
