Meat n' Potatoes

Introduction

Had some new cuts of meat I've not cooked with before and ended up doing something rather traditional-esque with 'em. Had some new cuts of meat I've not cooked with before and ended up doing something rather traditional-esque with 'em.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients




    * Beef, round steak, 1 lb
    * Potato, raw, 4 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.)
    * Green Giant Cut Green Beans, can, 2 cup
    * Pacific Natural Foods Organic Beef Broth, 1 cup, 1 cup
    * Barley, pearled, raw, 0.125 cup

Directions

Sear both sides of the beef rounds in a pan on the stove-top. Spray the crock pot with non-stick spray then place them on the bottom. Pour 1 cup of beef broth over top, then season with a bit of onion powder and pepper. Add a dash or two of Worcestershire sauce on the meat for flavor.

Wash and halve the potatoes, place them around the meat, in the broth. Sprinkle on a bit of pepper and some dried leave oregano. Drop on your pearl barley all 'round. Open and drain your green beans then add them atop everything else evenly.

Cover, set crock on Low and leave until dinner.
