No Bake Granola Bars

What I love about this recipe is its so versatile, you can substitute different nuts, raisins or other dried fruit instead of or as well as the chocolate chips. Try other cereals in place of the grape nuts or rice crispies. Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    1 cup, unpacked brown Sugar
    2/3 c. cup peanut butter, chunk style
    1/2 c. honey
    1/3 c. butter, salted
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 cup Oats
    1 cup Post Grape-Nuts Cereal
    1 c. Rice Crispies cereal
    1/4 c. Sunflower Seeds, with salt added
    1/4 c. Almonds
    1/4 c. Walnuts
    1/2 c. chocolate chips

Directions

In a large bowl, mix together grape nuts cereal, oats, chocolate chips, rice crispies, almonds, sunflower seeds, and walnuts. In a small sauce pan, combine honey, brown sugar, butter, vanilla, and peanut butter. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Pour over the oats and nuts. Mix well and press into a 8" by 12" or 8" by 8" pan. Chill, and cut into 20 squares.

Serving Size: makes 20 2 inch peices.
