Baked Polenta

Introduction

This is very plain and relies on using freshly ground cornmeal from a local farmer. This is very plain and relies on using freshly ground cornmeal from a local farmer.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    0.5 cup cornmeal
    2 cups water

Directions

Mix cornmeal and water in small casserole (check that the casserole will hold 2 cups of water!)
Bake at 350 degrees for an hour. You can stir it occasionally to reassure yourself, but I don't think that's necessary.
To serve, slice and grill in cast iron pan.
Serve a nice saucy something over it.
