Tipsy Turnips

Ingredients

    2 cups turnips, peeled, diced
    1/4 stick butter
    3 Tbs maple syrup
    3 Tbs bourbon

Directions

Peel and dice turnips into ½ inch cubes. Sauté on low heat in butter slowly for 5 minutes. Do not brown. Add maple syrup and bourbon. Sauté until tender. The “secret” is to cook turnips slowly and not brown them. If liquid becomes absorbed while cooking, just add more butter and bourbon.
