Chicken and Noodles

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    4 cups water
    3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    3 Bay Leaves
    1 Tb Basil
    1 TBbPepper
    1 Tb Salt
    4 Md raw carrots chopped
    4 Med Stalks of celery, chopped
    1 small onion or 1/2 med onion
    1/2 bag of corn kernels
    Half a bag of Whole Wheat Noodles
    1/2 C 2% Milk
    1/4 C Flour

Directions

Pour 4 cups of water into Stock Pot

Add 3 bay leaves to water along with pepper, salt, and basil

Cut your chicken breasts in half or to fit the pot...and place chicken into pot

While waiting for water to boil, chop your onion, celery, and carrots

After water comes to a boil, add onions, celery, carrots, and corn

Let boil for 40 min

Remove the chicken from broth and cut chicken into pieces

Add the whole wheat noodles into the broth and bring back to a boil until noodles are tender.

Add the chicken back into the mixture

Let cook for 5 min.

While waiting, mix together in an air tight container milk and flour.

Add the milk and flour mix to the pot.

let simmer for 10 min and the broth should thicken.

Serve over biscuits or eat alone!
