Shortcake

Introduction

Serves 9-12 depending on how its made. Serves 9-12 depending on how its made.
Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients


    1 1/4 cup flour
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/3 cup butter
    2/3 cup milk
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Grease and flour 9" square pan or 9" bread loaf pan.
In small mixer bowl combine all cake ingredients.
Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed, about 2 minutes.
Spread into prepared pan.
**Bake for 20 to 40 minutes.
Cool completely in pan. Cut into 9 squares or if using bread pan 12 slices


**Depending On Your Altitude if could take 20-40 minutes to cook. Just check after 20 minutes and if not done go in 5 minute increments until done
