Baked Custard

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    3 slightly beaten eggs
    .25 cup of sugar
    2 cups milk scalded
    .50 tsp vanilla
    .25 tsp salt

Directions

Combind eggs, sugar, and .25 teaspoon salt
Slowly stir in slightly cooled milk and vanilla.
Fill six 5 oz custard cups: set in shallow pan on oven rack.
Pour hot water into pan, 1 inch deep.
Bake at 325 F for 40 to 50 minutes,or until knife inserted off center comes out clean. Serve warm or chilled.
