Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

Introduction

Made using my Hamilton Beach Half Pint ice cream maker
Adapted from the recipe in the instruction book.

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 1/2 c 2% milk
    1 1/2 c heavy cream
    1/2 c sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract

    Add-ins optional

Directions

1. Combine ingredients in a 1-quart container with a tight-fitting lid.
2. Shake until sugar is dissolved.

To make individual servings using the Hamilton beach half pint ice cream maker

1. Pour 6 12 ounces of ice cream base in frozen Half-Pint Freezer bowl.
2. Turn motor on. Once mixture starts to thicken, turn off motor
3. Remove lid and paddle and add 3 tablespoons of your favorite add-in (optional).
4. Replace lid and restart motor.



Serving Size: Yiels 24 ounces - 6 4 oz servings
