Homemade Chicken Noodle soup

Introduction

I took this recipe from the back of the Reames Noodle package but used my own measurements, no bay leaves, accidently used basil leaves instead. I took this recipe from the back of the Reames Noodle package but used my own measurements, no bay leaves, accidently used basil leaves instead.
Number of Servings: 40

Ingredients

    Water, tap, 8 qts
    2 Tyson whole chicken, about 10 lbs total weight
    Celery, raw, 4 stalk, large (11"-12" long) cut in small pieces
    Carrots, raw, 3 cup, strips or slices
    Onions, raw, 1 large cut into small pieces
    2 pkgs Reames egg noodles,
    1 tsp Parsley Flakes, (or to ur taste)
    Thyme, ground, 2 tbsp ( or to your taste)
    Arrowroot flour, .5 cup (enough to thicken water)
    Salt,(to taste)
    Pepper, black (to taste)

Directions

cook 2 whole chickens (about 10 lbs total) in a big cooker with about 8 qts of water, or enough to cover chicken,til done. Take chicken out and put in large strainer to cool. Add noodles, vegetables and spices to water and cook til noodles and vegetables are done. Once the chicken is cooled enough take meat from bones and add to water/noodles. Return water to boiling. Mix Arrowroot in a small bowl with cold water add to soup mixture and boil til it starts to thicken. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, or just eat in a bowl. Enjoy.
