Taco Salad

Introduction

Quick and easy meal that most everyone enjoys. You can add some crushed tortilla chips as the bottom layer, but I did not add that to this recipe since I am no longer enjoying my taco salad that way. :) Quick and easy meal that most everyone enjoys. Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 lb lean ground beef
    1 taco seasoning packet
    15oz can of Ranch Style beans
    1 small raw onion (reserve some for topping salad)
    3 cups romaine lettuce
    1 tomato diced
    1 cup cheddar cheese

Directions

Brown ground beef and 3/4 of the onion. Add the taco seasoning packet and follow packet instructions. Add beans and warm through.

While beans are warming, put lettuce on the plate (start with tortilla chips if desired). Spoon 1 cup of the taco meat onto the lettuce and top with tomatoes, cheese, and remaining onion. You can also add other toppings, but they were not included in the nutritional calculation. Enjoy!
