Ingredients

    24 oz raw ground turkey
    1 lb tomatoes, chopped
    1/2 large onion, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1 jalapeno, finely diced
    1 Cubanelle pepper, diced

    12 oz Hefeweisen ale
    6 oz tomato paste
    1-1/2 c water
    1 cans reduced-sodium black beans, drained and rinsed
    1 T sodium-free chicken bouillon
    1 T Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp Tabasco
    1 T unsweetened cocoa
    3 T Splenda
    2 T chili powder
    1 T cumin powder
    2 tsp paprika
    1 tsp coriander, ground
    2 tsp oregano

Directions

Brown ground turkey.

Combine all the ingredients in a crockpot and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours.

If thickening is necessary, you can combine 1 T flour + 1 T cornmeal with a little warm water. Add it to the pot and cook for another 20 minutes.

Serve with warm bread, cornbread, Fritos, sour cream, cheddar cheese, whatever!
