Introduction

A simple all purpose creamy cheese sauce to use on vegetables or whatever you like! This sauce seems decadent, but is low in fat. Evaporated milk when cooked comes out creamy and rich! A simple all purpose creamy cheese sauce to use on vegetables or whatever you like! This sauce seems decadent, but is low in fat. Evaporated milk when cooked comes out creamy and rich!
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    2 cans of non-fat evaporated milk
    1 cup of low fat cheddar cheese
    pinch of salt and white pepper to taste
    1 clove of garlic
    1/8 of a tsp of nutmeg

Directions

In a medium sized sauce pan, heat evaporated milk on medium heat until you see it start to simmer, add grated cheese and turn down the burner to low and stir constantly till cheese melts, add in salt, white pepper and nutmeg and stir. Serve hot over veggies, or put in an omelet with assorted veggies! The evaporated milk will take on the cheese flavor and it will taste like a decadent cheese sauce!

Serving Size: Yeilds 2 cups of creamy rich cheese sauce
