Crockpot Chicken Cacciatore

Introduction

I made this with what I had on hand. You can add more spices or red pepper flakes depending on how spicy you like it. I made this with what I had on hand. You can add more spices or red pepper flakes depending on how spicy you like it.

Ingredients

    Chicken Breast, no skin, 1 1/2 pounds
    Crushed Tomatoes, 28 oz can
    Green Peppers (about 2 bell peppers), 2 cup, strips
    Onions, raw, 1 large cut into thin slices
    Garlic, 6 cloves
    Red Wine, 3 - 4 fl oz
    Oregano, ground, 1 tsp
    Mushrooms, canned, 1 cup
    Garlic powder, 1 tsp
    1 tsp Italian Seasoning

Directions

Place chicken into crockpot. Sprinkle with garlic powder and italian seasoning. Place garlic, onion, mushrooms, pepper strips on top of chicken. Pour crushed tomatoes and red wine and oregano over top. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 - 8 hours.
