Introduction

These vegetarian burgers form into lovely patties and grill fantastically. Top with avocado, cheese, and peppers for a great summer cook out alternative! Number of Servings: 7

Ingredients

    1/2 cup quinoa
    1 can (19 oz) lentils, rinsed
    1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    2 gloves garlic, chopped
    2 tsp cumin powder
    1/3 cup cilantro
    1/2 cup walnut pieces

Directions

Cook quinoa according to directions on box (use 1 cup water for half a cup quinoa).

Combine all ingredients and blend in food processor (It helps to divide it up and process about a quarter of the mixture at a time).

Form into patties, let rest 30 minutes.

Throw on grill for 8 minutes on each side.



Serving Size: Makes 7 3-inch patties
