Jim's veggie beans

Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    1/2 pound dry navy beans
    3 cloves garlic, diced
    1/2 cup ketchup
    2 cups each diced:
    broccoli stalks
    turnips
    onions
    carrots
    celery

    Add to saucepan. Cover with twice as much water and simmer for at least 4 hours adding more water as needed to keep it soupy.



Directions

In saucepan, add all ingredients. Cover with twice the volume of water and bring to a boil. Simmer for at least 4 hours. Check and add more water if needed after 2 hours to keep the mix soupy.

Serving Size: 1 cup; makes 9 cups.
