Crockpot Chili
Submitted by: GRANNY2SHOES1Introduction
Recipe calls for 3 cloves of garlic. I like using 1 Tbsp of minced garlic in a jar.One large green pepper used. Just estimated for cups.
I use 80/20 ground chuck for this recipe.
I do not use chili powder, because the Great Value or Rotel brands of tomatoes and green chilies are hotter than some other brands.
I do not add salt as the canned vegetables are high in sodium. Recipe calls for 3 cloves of garlic. I like using 1 Tbsp of minced garlic in a jar.

2. Cook ground beef with diced onions and diced green peppers until beef is brown, but not crispy. Drain grease.
3. Vegetable mixture should be warm or hot by the time the ground beef is cooked. Add the ground beef mixture to the crockpot. At this point taste chili. Add chili powder to taste if needed. Turn crockpot setting down to low and cook for at least 2 1/2 hrs.
