Yummy Healthy Turkey Chili

Introduction

Ingredients

    Extra Light Olive Oil, 1 tbs
    Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) chopped
    deli style Jalapeno Peppers, 0.25 cup chopped
    Stewed tomatoes no salt added, 1 can
    365 Kidney Beans No Salt Added, 1 can
    No salt Tomato Sauce, 2 8 oz cans
    Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 20 oz
    Can of green chilies
    Chili powder, 2 tbsp
    Onion powder, 1 tbsp
    Garlic powder, 1 tbsp

Directions

In a heavy sauce pan or dutch oven soften onion and jalapenos in the olive oil. Add beans (un-rinsed), tomatoes, tomato sauce, chilies and spices. Simmer for about an hour stirring occasionally. Brown the turkey and add to the tomato bean mix about half way through. Makes 8 hearty servings.
