Peanut Butter Granola Bars

Introduction

Healthy bar for "on the go" meal replacement. Healthy bar for "on the go" meal replacement.
Number of Servings: 18

Ingredients

    5 c old fashioned oats
    1 c whole wheat flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    6 tbsp Bob's Red Mills Whole Ground Flaxseed
    1 c slivered almonds
    4 scoops whey protein powder (I prefer chocolate)
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    6 tbs peanut butter
    2/3 c honey
    1/2 c water (as needed to help mix ingredients; mixture should be fairly dry)

Directions

Preheat oven to 325. Spray 9x13 pan with olive oil spray.

Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Press mixture into pan. (Use a piece of wax paper on top to compact.) Bake 18 - 22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 10 minutes, then cut into 18 bars. Cool completely before serving.

Serving Size: Makes 18 bars
