Knock Off Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Submitted by: MOM2L_L_C

Introduction

These delicious biscuits are cheesy and buttery, just like they come at Red Lobster! These delicious biscuits are cheesy and buttery, just like they come at Red Lobster!
Number of Servings: 15

Ingredients

    2 1/2 cups - Bisquik
    6 Tbsp - Butter, cold
    1 1/4 cups - Cheddar Cheese
    3/4 cup - Milk
    3/4 Tsp - Garlic Powder

Directions

In a large bowl, combine the Bisquik and 4 Tbsp of cold butter with a pastry blender until butter is in pea size chunks. (I personally use Smart Balance sticks, but any type of butter stick will work.)

Then add cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and milk. Mix until just combined...do not overmix.

Drop dough into small rounds on a greased cookie sheet. I make 15 small biscuits so that they are 156 calories a piece, but you can make them larger if you wish.

Bake for 13-15 min on 375.

Take the remaining 2 Tbsp of butter and melt it with a tiny pinch of salt. Brush over biscuits as soon as they come out of the oven.

Enjoy!

  • First recipe I have seen that actually does the butter mixed in the dough instead of just brushed on top (went through 10 or so recipes and was about to just make my own recipe on here)...
Instead of salt with the melted butter on top, I do Dill and a touch of garlic powder. - 10/28/13
