IntroductionI created this oatmeal to help lower my hubby's triglyceride levels. I created this oatmeal to help lower my hubby's triglyceride levels.
Quaker Old Fashioned Oatmeal
1/2 c 1% milk
dash of salt
Cook oatmeal per directions
1/2 c granny smith apples (microwave with 1/2 t cinnamon if desired)
Mix with 2T ground flaxseed
1T chopped walnuts (if desired)
While cooking oatmeal, 1/2 c apples and 1/2 t cinnamon in microwave for 15-30 seconds.
Mix with ground flaxseed, nuts, brown sugar (Splenda) and top with a dash of cinnamon. Mix together.
Serving Size: Makes 2 servings
