Old time Mainers Fish Chowdah!


My 83 year old father in laws recipe! My 83 year old father in laws recipe!
Number of Servings: 6


    1 pound frozen skinned Haddock
    6 small red potatoes
    1 small thin sliced onion
    1 can Carnation Fat Free milk
    2 tsp of low fat magarine (if desired)
    salt and pepper to taste


Place cut up cubed potatoes in enough water just to cover the potatoes.Place sliced onions on top of the potatoes.Bring to a boil. Add frozen Haddock on top and simmer till the fish is cooked.(it will flake apart)Do not drain water.Add canned skim milk . Simmer for at least one hour. Add salt and pepper to taste and pat of butter or magarine (optional) Always better the next day!
