Tuna Salad--Healthier Alternative (without Yogurt)

Submitted by: CAROLRCL

Introduction

This more healthful tuna salad uses cottage cheese and a little bit of Mayo instead of plain yogurt. It still keeps the fat down but without the yogurt tang. The cottage cheese curds make it look a little funny, but it tastes fabulous! This more healthful tuna salad uses cottage cheese and a little bit of Mayo instead of plain yogurt. Ingredients

    1-7oz can tuna, drained
    1/2 c. Cottage cheese (I used 2%)
    1 T Mayonnaise
    1/3 cup diced dill pickles
    1 T minced garlic
    1/2 t. onion powder

Directions

Combine all ingredients. Mix thoroughly.

Can be made into a sandwich, or, my favorite, enjoy on celery or in a lettuce wrap.
