Introduction

Ingredients

    3/4 cup chopped onion
    1/2 pound 93% lean ground beef
    10 ounces 93/7 lean ground turkey
    1/2 cup Kretschmer Original Toasted Wheat Germ
    1 Tablespoon Tabasco sauce
    10-3/4 ounce can Healthy Request Tomato Soup
    2 Tablespoon Lime juice
    1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic
    1/4 teaspoon crushed ginger
    1 large head cabbage

Directions

Makes 6 1/2 cup or 4 ounce servings.
Spray baking pan with non-stick. I use canola.
Mix together onion, ground beef, ground turkey, wheat germ, tabasco sauce, 2 Tablespoons of the tomato soup, 1 Tablespoon of the lime juice, garlic and ginger. Make sure you mix the garlic and ginger in thouroughly or one person will get a bitter mouthful! Use more or less garlic/ginger to suit your taste.
Quarter a large head of cabbage. With one of the quarters, chop it smaller (about 3 cups) and add to meat mixture.
Scoop out 6, 1/2 cup or 4 ounce balls and place in pan, leaving a small gap between balls.
Cut each of the remaining quarters into thirds, place around and between balls.
Mix remaining tomato soup with 1 Tablespoon Lime Juice, and drizzle over meat and cabbage.
Place in 350 degree oven for 1 hour, checking halfway to 'baste'.
Tastes great over wild rice!
