Here's the beef... and um, green beans
Submitted by: TIMANTECIntroduction
Just the meat and veggie portion of a meal. Just the meat and veggie portion of a meal.Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients
-
Beef, round steak, 2 lb
Green Giant Cut Green Beans, can, 2 cup
Garlic, 3 tsp
Water, tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz)
Lea & Perrins, Worcestershire Sauce, 4 tsp
Onion powder, .5 tsp
Pepper, black, 1 dash
Lemon Juice, 1 fl oz
Directions
I had originally wanted to marinate the beef (once thawed) for a night or so in a baggie in the fridge with the mixture of Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice... sadly, I only got to do one of the steak rounds as I had to add one the next day when I thought we were expecting an extra mouth to feed for dinner. So here's what I did instead:
The first steak got the marinating treatment, while the second steak did not. So in a non-stick spray prepared crock pot I set the first non-marinated steak in the bottom. I then placed (carefully) the tablespoon of minced garlic on top and kind of spread it around after dashing the meat with a bit (not much at all) Worcestershire sauce. I then took the marinated steak and set that on top, creating something of a garlic/meat sandwich. I poured the marinade over the entire thing, then added the water around the beef at the bottom of the pot. After draining the beans, I poured those in around the beef island in the center, ensuring they were covered with the water (distributed evenly)... follow this with the seasoning of onion powder and black pepper over the entire thing, cover and set on Low.
