Scalloped Apples Dessert in the Slow CookerSubmitted by: BAILEYS7OF9
IntroductionFrom Stephanie O'Dea From Stephanie O'Dea
4 Granny Smith apples
4 Golden Delicious apples
1 cup splenda (feel free to cut back)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 cup butter, sliced
2 tbs sweetened whipped cream low fat (optional)
Peel, core, and slice the apples. Curse yourself that you've never taken the plunge to purchase one of those cool apple gadget things...
Plop the apples into your slow cooker and toss the slices with sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and butter slices. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, or until apples have reached desired tenderness. If you cook too long, the apples will turn into applesauce--- not a bad thing, but something to note!
Serving Size: Makes 8 servings, about the size of an apple
