Number of Servings: 2
Ingredients
-
1/2 lb ground chicken breast
1/4 cup carrot, grated
1 green onion, minced
1 garlic clove, pressed
1 T chili sauce
1/2 T molasses (light/mild)
1 t cayenne pepper sauce
1 t Worcestershire sauce
1/8 t salt
2 reduced-calorie wheat hamburger buns
Directions
1. In a medium bowl, mix ground chicken, carrot, green onion, and garlic until combined.
2. On waxed paper, shape chicken mixture into two 3 1/2" round patties (mixture will be very soft and moist.)
3. Place patties on the grill over medium heat and cook ~12 minutes or until juices run clear when center of burger is pierced with tip of knife, turning over once. (If you have a grill with widely spaced grates, you may want to place burgers on a perforated grill topper to keep them intact.)
4. Meanwhile, mix remaining seasonings/sauces and set aside.
5. Place burgers on warmed buns, top with sauce mixture. Serve with cucumber slices, lettuce, and additional green onions (not included in nutritional).
