Green Smoothie w/ pineapple

Submitted by: JDUNCA82

Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

1 cup of teared up fresh spinach leaves
1/2 a cup of greek yogurt or a little more for creaminess
    1 whole banana
about a cup of cut up fresh pineapple chuncks
    1/2 cup of ice

Directions

Depending on what type of blender you're using, I put the ice, fruit and yogurt in so they are near the blade at the bottom of the blender and they get blended first. After those ingredients are blended, I have to take the container off of the blade pedestal and shake the mix so the spinach can get down in the bottom and blend in with the already blended drink. I found this to be the easiest way to get the spinach to blend up nicely. Then when all the ingredients are blended and no big chunks are left, you have a tasty, healthy smoothie!
I listed this as a snack but it is comparable to the 100's of other green monster type drinks and smoothie recipes out there, so it's good for breakfast or just a good way to get in some servings of veggies and fruits, you can always add extras too.
