Ingredients

3 cups canned pumpkin purée
1/2 cup applesauce
1 cup canola oil
4 cups granulated sugar
6 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
4-3/4 cups all-purpose white four
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
1-1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1-1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1-1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ground mace
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
Grease and flour 4 loaf pans (7" x 3.5"). Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix pumpkin, applesauce, oil, eggs, vanilla, and sugar until well blended. In a separate bowl, mix remaining ingredients, then add a little at a time to pumpkin mixture and blend. Divide the batter evenly among the four pans. Bake in preheated oven about one hour, or until toothpick inserted in the middle of the loaf comes out clean, and top of loaf springs back when pressed lightly.
Serving size: 1 slice. 12 slices per loaf.
