Introduction

Flavorful and brightly colored, uses cabbage in a way the whole family will eat it! I would love to have a version that contained less sodium, I generally buy the lower sodium kielbasa or smoked sausage. Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 pkg Kielbasa or Smoked Sausage
    1 can Kidney beans
    1 can Diced Tomatoes
    1 cup shredded carrots
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    3 cloves garlic chopped
    3 cups cabbage shredded or coarse chop
    Mrs. Dash Original blend to taste

Directions

slice Kielbsa into 1/2 inch slices, saute in pan with garlic and onion, you may choose to use a tablespoon of EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) or not. Add carrots and continue to saute until carrots are a little softer, add Diced Tomatoes, Kidney beans and Mrs. Dash to taste, add the rotini and mix well, you may need to add a little water but no more than 1/4th cup. Then add the cabbage, try to stir a little then place a lid on top. Let cook on med heat, stiring occasionally. Serve in a bowl or on a plate, I don't usually serve with anything else.

Serving Size: We serve 5 if not 6 good sized portions out of this.
