Paul's Healthy Ziploc Omelette

Ingredients

    1/2 cup Egg Beaters
    1/4 cup extra lean ham chopped
    1/4 cup colby cheese shredded
    1 Tbsp raw onion chopped
    1 tbsp green bell pepper chopped
    1 tbsp ripe tomato chopped
    1 Ziploc quart size bag

Directions

Start heating a pot of water. Bring to a boil.

Open a ziploc bag and pour in egg beaters. Add in ham, cheese. onion, bell pepper and tomato. If you like it spicy add in a little salsa or louisian hot sauce. Close all bags being prepared for breakfast. Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for 13-15 minutes. You can usually cook 6-8 omelettes in a large pot. Remove bags from water, open and te omelette will roll out easily. Serve with fresh fruit or coffee or juice. A nice quick easy breakfast or any meal you desire.

    We had these for Christmas brunch last year! Every guest, young and old made their own to their liking and everyone's still talks about them! Very fun for camping also, but harder to keep the water boiling over the campfire! thanks for sharing the recipe! - 11/20/07

    I haven't cooked it this way (in a bag), but I make these omlettes all the time and they are YUMMY! Good one, Paul...and I'm definitely gonna try the Ziploc trick! - 11/20/07
