Corned Beef Brisket

Ingredients

    3.5 lb Kroger Corned beef brisket, boneless, flat cut
    4 medium potatoes, cut into large chunks
    8 medium carrots, cut into large chunks
    1/2 medium onion, cut into large chunks
    1/2 medium red onion, cut into large chunks
    1/2 head medium cabbage, cut into 4 wedges
    1/2 head medium red cabbage, cut into 4 wedges
    3 whole cloves
    5 whold garlic cloves
    2 bay leaves
    water

Directions

Cut 3 exes into the fat side of the brisket and stuff with a clove and a garlic clove
Place all remaining vegetables (including last 2 cloves of garlic) into a crock pot
Place the brisket on top of vegetables, fat side up, and sprinkle with the seasoning packet included with the brisket
Pour about 6 to 8 cups of water beside the brisket to almost cover the vegetables (but do not rinse off the seasonings) and cook on high about 3 hours then reduce the heat to medium and cook for another 4 to 5 hours until brisket is tender

Serving Size: makes about 12 - 14 servings
