Beans as a side dish

Ingredients

    1 cup mixed beans DRY
    .25 cup chickcpeas DRY
    1 onion chopped
    3 garlic cloves chopped
    Chicken broth (no sodium)
    2 cups water
    2 bay leaf
    1Tsp cajun spice
    1Tsp anch chile powder
    1 Tsp paprika powder
    1Tsp whole peppercorns
    4 Tbsp honey BBQ sauce

Directions

soak beans overnight in 8 cups of water.
Drain beans .Add 4 cups of water to a pot,bring to a boil add the chicken broth, stir, then add the beans, onions,garlic and spices and the barbecue sauce ,let simmer for 2 to 2.5 hours.or until done.
