Meaty Kitchen Sink Spaghetti

Submitted by: THICKMADAME1

Introduction

This recipe is another concoction I made from having a lil this and a lil that left in my freezer. So I combined 3 meats and added a can of spinach to put a spin what can otherwise be a traditionally boring spaghetti sauce. This recipe is another concoction I made from having a lil this and a lil that left in my freezer. Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 TBS EVOO
    1 Medium Onion Chopped
    1 Clove of Garlic
    Dry Basil, Oregano, & Parsley
    Salt n Pepper to Taste
Red Pepper Flakes to Your Liking

Spaghetti Noodles (I like Ronzoni various types)

Ground Beef n Turkey (saute n drain)
    Light Polsa Kelbsa (sliced)
1 can Spinach or Fresh Spinach (even better)
1 Jar of Spaghetti Sauce (your choice)
Splenda to taste (helps with tartness of jarred sauce)

Directions

Boil Spaghetti as usual with salt n a lil EVOO when done garnish with fresh or dry combo of oregano, basil, or parsley. Also rub a lil EVOO on the noodles after draining so they don't stick.

Prep: (Cut Onions, Crush Garlic, Slice Polsa Kelbasa, before you begin)

Add EVOO to deep pot and put over medium heat

Add Onions and Fresh Garlic and Saute (you can also add dry or fresh Basil, Oregano, & Parsley)

Add in Thawed Ground Beef and Ground Turkey and Saute till about done and drain.
Add sliced Polsa Kelbasa to Pot and Continue to Saute
Season lightly with salt, pepper, and RED PEPPER FLAKES if you like a lil kick to your dish!
Stir in Spinach and Saute
Stir in Spaghetti Sauce from Jar
Add Splenda to remove tart taste of jarred sauce
Let Simmer till ready to eat

I chose not to add a bread since you get carbs from the noodles...this dish is good for Low-Carb Diets. This dish is also based on eating only 1 oz to 1.5 oz of pasta per serving.

NOT ENOUGH PROTEIN?? For a lil more protein add some Tyson Chicken Breast Strips to the simmering pot!!!

Serving Size: makes 8 appropriate plate size servings (based on 1 oz of noodles per serving)

Number of Servings: 8
