TVP Pantry Chili

Introduction

Nothing fresh here, but quick and easy, and a good protein/fiber to calorie ratio. Pretty sure this one's vegan. Nothing fresh here, but quick and easy, and a good protein/fiber to calorie ratio. Pretty sure this one's vegan.
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    1-3/4 cup water
    1 cup TVP flakes
    1 can S&W diced tomatoes
    1 can S&W chili beans
    dehydrated onion flakes
    dehydrated garlic
    celery seed
    cumin powder
    dried pepper flakes (not the hot kind)
    Kirkland organic no-salt seasoning

Directions

1-3/4 cup water, bring to boiling
toss in 1 cup TVP flakes and simmer for 5 minutes
add 1 can each diced tomatoes and chili beans
throw in the spices and bring the whole business back up to a boil to make sure it's heated through and the dehydrated goodies get softened.
now eat it and you won't be hungry again for a good long while


Serving Size: makes 5 servings, approximately 1 cup each
