Simple Chili

Introduction

A truly basic chili recipe that you can keep simple or make as complicated as you'd like. A truly basic chili recipe that you can keep simple or make as complicated as you'd like.
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    1 lb ground beef
    1 packet of 4-lbs. William's chili seasoning
    4 cans of red beans
    3 cans of V8
    any additional spices to taste

Directions

Brown ground beef in pot. Drain. Add chili seasoning. Stir in beans, V8 and any additional seasonings. Simmer for at least 30 minutes.

Note: this makes a runny chili if you only let it simmer for 30 minutes. You can add as little as 2 cans of V8 and/or let it simmer much longer if you like thicker chili. This recipe is even suitable for a slow cooker. It's also about a million times better the second day!
