Introduction

This is a light syrup that can be added to pancakes or to simple sponge cakes. This is a light syrup that can be added to pancakes or to simple sponge cakes.

Ingredients

    2 Cups Water
    2 Tablespoon Sugar
    1 entire rind of lemon (peeled)

Directions

Put all the ingredients together in a small boiling pot and boil until the syrup thickens. You can tell when it is done by the bubbles - when the bubbles are big and burst at a slower rate the syrup is done. This is a good receipe to add to pancakes when you don't have Maple Syrup. it is also a lower calorie alternative. It adds a light taste.
