Ingredients

    3/4 pound asparagus, cut into 2.5-cm (1-inch) lengths (keep tips whole)
    Kernels of 2 ears fresh corn or 375 ml (1 1/2 cups) frozen corn
    1 cup diced leek (white part only)
    2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
    1 can cream corn

Directions

Meanwhile, in a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat, sauté the asparagus, corn and leek in the butter or oil until the vegetables are crisp-tender, 8 to 10 minutes. Add more butter if necessary. Add the cream corn and simmer until the vegetables are tender, about 2 minutes. Adjust the seasoning.
