No Bake Granola Bars

Introduction

Sticky and sweet, a somewhat healthier version of store-bought granola bars. Sticky and sweet, a somewhat healthier version of store-bought granola bars.
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    1/4 c brown sugar, packed
    1/4 c agave syrup
    1 c natural peanut butter
    1/2 c applesauce, unsweetened
    1 t vanilla extract
    1 1/2 c old fashioned oats
    1 1/2 c crisp rice cereal
    1/4 c sunflower seeds
    1/4 c almonds, chopped

Directions

Combine dry ingredients (except brown sugar). Set aside.

Heat sugar and agave over stove to boiling. Immediately stir in peanut butter, applesauce and vanilla.

Quickly combine all ingredients. Press into greased 9x13 pan. Cool and serve.

Serving Size: Makes about 20 squares
