Submitted by: TIMANTEC

Introduction

Slow cooker home-made chili dish... May be served solo, over chips, on lettuce, over rice, used in tortillas as filler for whatever you like. Quite versatile. Slow cooker home-made chili dish... Ingredients

    Beef, round steak, .5 lb
Beans, black, 1 cup (drained & rinsed)
Beans, pinto, 1 cup (drained & rinsed)
Beans, red kidney, 1 cup (drained & rinsed)
Beans, white, 1 cup (drained & rinsed)
Tomato products, Hunts Diced Tomatoes w/ Basil, Garlic, and Oregano, 3.5 serving (1 can with juice)
Pacific Natural Foods Beef Broth, 1 cup, 1 serving
La Victoria Thick'n Chunky Salsa Verde Medium, 30 tbsp (1 jar)

Seasoning to taste (not measured/entered in recipe):
    Chili Powder
    Onion Powder
    Black Pepper
    Red Pepper Flakes
    Ground Cumin Seed

Directions

Spray crock with non-stick spray.
Place steak on bottom of pot.
Sprinkle with a dash of black pepper as well as a dash of onion powder (if you like).
Drain & rinse your beans (I use a basket strainer to make it easier when using a lot of canned beans in a dish) then add them to the pot.
Season with chili powder, cumin and red pepper flakes (if you like).
Pour in your tomatoes with juices.
Pour in your cup of beef broth.
Add your Salsa Verde.
Cover and set on Low for roughly 7-ish hours.
