Basic Banana Bread

Introduction

Quick & easy banana bread, no blender required. Low fat Quick & easy banana bread, no blender required. Low fat
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    3-4 fresh, very ripe bananas
    Light margerine, 1/3 C
    Vanilla Extract, 2 tsp
    Whole Wheat Flour, 1 1/2 C
    Ground Flax Seed, 1/4 C
    1/4 C Egg Beaters (1 egg)
    Baking soda, 1 tsp
    Brown Sugar, 1/3 C
    Pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg

    Optional Add-ins:
    1/2 C chocolate or carob chips
    1/2 C crushed walnuts
    1/4 - 1/2 C raisins
    Orange zest

Directions

1) Mash bananas into melted margerine
2) Add vanilla, egg, baking soda, flax seed, brown sugar and spices (and any optional ingredients)
3) Stir in wheat flour
4) Pour into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan
5) Bake for 1 hour at 350F (175C)
