Quick Shrimp Creole

Introduction

Easy one pot meal. Easy one pot meal.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    One Pound of bulk sausage. Lite if you can find it.
    1/2 pound shrimp
    4 sm or 2 large cans of diced tomatoes
    1 can of tomato sauce
    1 large onion
    1green pepper

    Season to taste with: salt, pepper, celery seed, old bay seasoning, garlic

    Rice or Cornbread optional

Directions

Cook diced onion and sausage together in large, heavy pot.

When cooked, add diced pepper and let cook about 5 minutes.

Add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Cook about 20 minutes.

Season to taste with salt, pepper, old bay seasoning, garlic, and celery seed.

At the last, put in peeled shrimp and cook for about 5 more minutes.

I eat this straight out of the pot. Cornbread or rice is a nice accompaniment.
